Lost Battle

Sighs.

The rain and consequently the fever and flu finally caught up with me.

I feel so miserable 😕 Been sleeping the whole afternoon.

Panadol and Clarinase don’t work…remedies anybody?

Rain, rain, go away,
Sandra wants to go and party,
Fever, flu, go away,
New Year’s just one more day.

Through Blogging…

I met lots of awesome people!

Okay, 2 entries within an hour. Pardon me, but i’m awfully bored.

Anyways, I’ve been blogging for about 4 years now, but it was never a serious thing till I moved to WordPress, which is this current blog. It’s been 2 months since i moved here, and well, this blog here has led me to knowing lots of wonderful people! and their blogs too, of course.

Since it’s almost the end of the year, I shall put this entry up so i can look back next year and remember them. Hopefully i will have more to add by next year (=

You see, there’s 2 categories. Those you get to know by visiting their blogs because you have nothing better to do than blog hop all day, and those you know because they visit your blog because they have nothing better to do than blog hop all day. 😛

There’s bluemonster, Little Ray, Nathan, Sanoli, and Sean who regularly commented on my entries not too long ago.

Bluemonster or bluey for short, is somebody who prefers to remain anonymous, but I met up with him a few months back and found a friend in him! Thanks bluey, for helping me with lots of dilemma stuff like uni options and all.

Little Ray aka Raymond in Perth is another one who left his marks on my entries and vice versa, and he’s now a good friend who gets mental attacks every now and then. Oh, occasionally my ‘son’ too. Naughty, silly boy! 😀

Nathan on the other hand, i found out that i knew him from the old MIRC days after he added me on MSN. Speaking of which, i missed those IRC days. Where you could talk randomly and make real friends.

Then there’s Sanoli, this sweet Russian girl who came across my blog googling “happenings Kuching”. Well, Sanoli, if you do make a trip here in the future, i’d be sure to bring you around! (=

And last from that category, but not least of course…is Sean. We chat occasionally on MSN, and last month, when we met, i thought he looked so darn familiar, and then found out he was Samson and Sebastian’s eldest brother. Wow, what a small world! The world got even smaller when I met Lexi to talk about band stuff/jamming and found out he was their lead guitarist.

Then from the other category, i got to know Kenneth, and Robin. I blog-hopped and came across their blogs and thought they were good reads.

Kenneth, was actually a friend i met from the MIRC days. He was also from IMH for a while, but i’ve never met him before. After like more than 5 years, i finally met him at the Rexona No-Sweat Bandkuest as he was the drummer of Litbox, the band which secured the 2nd place.

Robin also has an interesting blog, featuring Kuching and everything else in it. The people, the happenings, the food, basically everything. I’ve seen him before, but we’ve never met. Lol.

There’s also a few which doesn’t fall into any of the 2 categories. Fitria and Tina, the 2 sisters whom i met at the same Bandkuest, who told me that they read my blog. Then there’s the occasional comments made by passing people which until today i still don’t know. Like crispy, Patau Rubis, and others.

Not to forget all ther other blogs which i frequent but never associated with their owners.

Well, it’s been a great knowing you people. Whether in the cyberspace or not.

If you’re a blogger, keep it up, okay? Keep me entertained with yours posts. It’s something to light up the gloomy days and nights! Not only that, but you help those working people catch snake a bit. You just sit in front of the computer, read read read so your boss thinks you’re concentrating hard on work. For students, your parents might think you’re doing research or something. (=

And if you’re not a blogger, well, thanks for all the footprints you left here.

Oh, dont worry. I havn’t forgotten about the old friends. Hehe.

It’s been great knowing you all!

Resolutions, anyone?

I can’t upload pictures, so entries will be quite plain for a bit. Thank goodness WordPress is working fine, because that’s all i can do now.

So, it’s 12.30am, 30th December. In 11 and a half hours, it’ll be 2007 already.

I know lots of people New Years resolutions but how many of us succeed in fulfilling them?

If we were to make resolutions, i think the list will be endless. Being happy, being in love, being this, being that.

But then again, maybe with resolutions, they’ll give as a guideline so that we’ll actually work our butts off to acheive something in life.

I’m ranting. It’s raining and it’s cold. BrrrRrr…

So folks, how are you guys celebrating New Year’s Eve and the start of a brand New Year?

Me? Utterly sad way.

There’s a couple celebrating their first born’s full moon on New Year’s Eve. So gotta perform for them. Aiyayayayaiii. Fortunately, it’s a Chinese dinner so it’ll probably end at about 10pm. Then maybe I’ll adjourn to somewhere else for the countdown. Anyone up to it?

Exactly a year ago, on New Year’s Eve, I had to play for a couple’s wedding too.

Can’t they pick a better day? I mean, some of the guests might also be reluctant to go right? *sighs*

So so so…give me some ideas on how to spend New Years Eve. Especially in Kuching. Oh, but i wanna hear from those abroad too! (=

p/s The bug is around now, and i have a feeling it’ll get me soon. Been in the rain today, and i feel a fever coming. Please please please, i don’t wanna start the New Year being sick. So ppl, drink more water, and get plenty of rest!

p/p/s Happy New Year! This goes out to all my loved ones, family, friends, and not forgetting bloggers and blogders! Have a blessed one!

The Curse of the Chrysanthemum

The quake is seriously affecting me. No internet=no life! Like Ben put it, if not internet, everynight go out lah! Anyways, Pops, Mops and I decided to go catch a late night movie. It was between Night at the Museum and Curse of the Golden Flower(Man Cheng Jin Dai Huang Jin Jia), so we opted for the latter.

*The former would have been a better choice. Trust me.*

The Golden Flower is actually the Chrysanthemum. A story with many devious motives, it’s mainly about greed and love, set during the Tang Dynasty. If you’ve watched The Banquet(Ye Yan), this is damn right similar to it.

Directed by Zhang Yimou, i must say that this movie is a superb improvement from Hero(Ying Xiong) and House of the Flying Daggers(Shi Mian Mai Fu). But it’s no where near being a superb movie.

Chow Yun Fatt and Gong Li was fantastic though. Both carried their evil roles pretty well, and Jay Chou on the other hand…wasn’t as bad as i thought he’d be. It was a little odd seeing him fight with broad sword and spears all dressed in armour suits and shields. It just wasn’t….right.

But still, the 2 hours movie felt really long and it got quite draggy in a few scenes. After Yimou took a break to study Opera, i think his movies became poetic too. Hrmm…

The one thing i liked about the movie? The soundtrack. Jay Chou’s Golden Flowerbed moved me 😉

Spoilers ahead…

Strikingly Odd

If you’ve noticed, I lighten on the pictures in my recent entries because some people tell me that it takes blardy long to load. And I’ve changed the number of posts per page from 10 to 8. Hope it helps 😀

Anyways, I was chatting with Nathan earlier on, and we were debating on which one of us was weirder. I lost the debate, and as a result, he made me post 40 weird/unique things about myself. Why 40? Because he likes the number 40. Aiyayayayaiii!

You know the ‘5 weird things about myself’ meme which has been going around few months ago? This is 8 times worse!

Yikes.

Okay, so here goes nothing…

  1. I used to be able to sleep with sound/lights on. But now, I sleep only with sound. I usually let a movie or my window media player run. That is IF i sleep.

  33. I am hopeless in making decisions. Where to go? What to do? What present to get?
  34. I wish people Happy Birthday at 12am sharp before and after. For example, if your birthday falls on the 15th of October, i’ll wish you at 12am 15/10 and 11.59pm 15/10. At least i try to. That way i’ll be the first and the last (= Only if you’re quite close to me lah.

  43. Er…I’m weird enough for doing this entry. (=

Okay, now you have to tell me something weird about yourself. Leave it in the comments, anonymous will do too, or leave me a pm on MSN. (=

Since i’m real nice, just ONE will do 😀

Who Are You?

You know sometimes when somebody adds you on msn…and you don’t know who they are?

People with weird email addresses not giving you a clue at all who they are. For example, iamcute@hotmail.com, or helovesme@gmail.com or iamstupid@youarereallystupid.com okay..you get the gist of it.

In addition to the weird addresses, they have weird nicks too. If you have email addresses like that, i can understand. Cuz maybe you created the address 10 years ago and didn’t bother to change it then. BUT. Their nicks!

(R)RainBoW LoVe(R) or BarbiE & KeN 4eVa!!

-_-”

So since they added you, you think…okay lah. Just accept, later on you’ll ask them who they are.

But then, you don’t really bother to ask at all. They are the ones who added you in the first place, so let them make the first move!

Then one fine day,

XYZ: hi
me: hey
XYZ: who are you?
me: u added me. i should be the one asking you…
XYZ: really? so whats your name?
me: what’s yours?

GrrrrRrr! So annoying can? Then when it goes on and on, they will say something like.. “oh…i added you from some forward email” or something like that. Can die dot com.

Worse of all, most of these idiots people are kids. KIDS.

Below 13.

What are they doing roaming the cyberworld like that? Where’s parental discretion?

Wahahaha. Okay i’m ranting rubbish.

But really lah. They piss me off so much.

Kids, let me tell you something. Having a total of 999 friends in your MSN is pointless and useless if they’re not even your friends!

This goes the same for Friendster and others alike.

Ish ish ish.

p/s All email addresses and nicks are made up. If anyone has the same address/nick its purely coincidental. I didn’t mean to mock you. Or maybe I did.

Cheers! 😀

Tis’ the Season to be Jolly

Merry Christmas everyone!

Okay, this is getting a bit redundant because those exact words can be found on top and on the right hand side of this page ;p

Anyways, Christmas was good afterall.

Went out for Christmas dinner with my parents at Tao Seafood, and later on proceeded to Tao for a round of drinks (= A very Tao-Tao night tonight.

Came back at about 11.30pm, and went out again with Ben till 2-ish in the morning.

I think he’ll blog about the night, because i’m super uber tired to do so hehe. But it was a fun night no doubt, and we launched our own ‘explore Kuching – 25/12/06’ campaign. haha!

Well, Kuching is really small, with no place to go. Bing and Tao is easilly full. Travillion is packed with clubbing people. That leaves….?

Oh yeah. Sms-es and calls tonight were all lagging…. )=

So, every year i always get wu liao sms-es…this year’s award of the most wu liao sms greeting is:

Jingle Pau! Jingle Pau!
Jingle Cha Siew Pau!
Lin Yoong Pau, Tau Sa Pau,
Siew Mai, Loh Mai Kai…Hey!

-_-“
