Is Harry Potter 7 ‘Leaking’?

Rumor has it that the ending of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows has been leaked/hacked.

A hacker by the name of Gabriel hacked into the computers of Bloomsbury(publishers of HP).

So awesome.

It might not be true, but then again, we don’t know this.

Click here to read the hackers e-mail in full.

There is also a 281 page long e-book online. It claims to be the first third of the 784 page long book.

But then again, even if it’s not real, it’ll be interesting to read what the HP fanatic wrote. Who’s that free to write 281 pages?

Too Little Too Much

When I officially start working on a more consistent basis, and with the start of the 2nd trimester, I realise that I’m not going to have much time for myself anymore )=

Like wtf.

During my holidays I had so so many things planned for my return to Perth. And some for even before my holidays…

To Cottlesloe on a winter night
To Northbridge
To Matilda Bay
To Mandurah
To Subiaco
To Centro Galleria (one of the largest shopping centres in Perth)
To Hilary’s Bay
Hop on the Circle Route for 1 whole round (about 4 hours) with John
Coffee with Robin
Coffee with Jay
Dinner with bluey at Hogs Breath
Lunch with John at Sizzler

Anyways, not too long ago John and I went to this place called Wagamama.

It’s a neat little place, famous world-wide for their noodles…but surprisingly both of us ordered a rice dish instead.

Such a cute name

Possible topics of conversation with the person standing near you (=

Ice water and green tea comes as a complimentary with any meal dishes there. We also ordered a side of Edamame to munch on.

My Teriyaki Chikinraisu (AUD15)

Chicken and red onion marinated in teriyaki sauce served with Japanese style rice and side salad. The salad is omfg good i tell you. The vinaigrette dressing is yummilicious.

John’s Chicken Tamade Rice (AUD15)

Grilled breast chicken with stir fried zucchini and shitake mushrooms in oyster, garlic and wine sauce with Japanese stye rice. The sauce was delicious too but I don’t remember the seeing any shitakes. But if you’re not a fan of breast meat then maybe this is not your cup of tea.

Edamame with chilli and garlic salt (AUD4)

Looks like snow peas aye? It’s actually green soya beans. You can’t eat the pods so you just hold it up and squeeze the beans out. Such fun finger food! 😀

And because a friend was working there, we managed to get a ‘family & friends’ 25% off our bills so the total damage was only AUD 27.

Definitely worth a visit back.

Initially, we went there for a mission. They’re hiring staff and John wanted to apply for the job. I wasn’t suppose to blog about the application part but as I was typing this out, John called me and guess what?

He got the job! Hahaha

So yea, all the more reason to pop by in the future.

Congrats buddy 😀

Missing The Rainforest

Where’s the Orang Utans????

It’s the time of the year again when everyone’s infected with the RWMF hype. Well, almost everyone.

Let’s see…

RWMF 2002

Went with my parents. Absolutely NO memories at all. Sobs.

RWMF 2003

We had a Lodge field trip to RWMF in which a couple of us stayed back. The highlight of that year wasn’t the event itself, but it was more of the THIRTEEN-people-in-ONE-room at Damai. Broken glass, spilt cup noodles, broken lamps(football in the room), playing PS with cranked up volume, watching Italian Job at about 4am, and oh, underwears lying around. CLASSIC.

But there was one group though which stood out among the rest. Probably because of Joanne i remember them. Chipolatas. Haha! Bumble Bee remember? 😀

Then there’s this picture which has been in my wallet since then…oh, I cropped myself out of the photo haha…

(L-R) Gabriel, Carol, Jeffrey, Kelvin, Rusydie, Ivan, Billy, Amy

RWMF 2004

Memory is failing me…argh. I don’t remember much but i remember Rusydie and his gang. I don’t think anyone else went and stayed the night. We were running from stage to stage trying to be in front for every good performance. Haha. Monkeys indeed.

People mountain, people sea…

RWMF 2005

SPM year. Again, not a lot of people went. Was mainly Rusydie and his gang. Judith came up and spent the night with my parents and I. First time ever I stayed at the Hilltop. MOMOK i tell you! Was the first and last time. Ever. Not too crazy a year…we bought a beer each and chilled out.

Anyone familiar? 😛

RWMF 2006

A year ago. Hamtaroo, Jing and Cindy flew all the way from KL. Ben joined us later that afternoon. It was a crazy night. A night of good performances and excellent company! I think we all io ka chng’ed danced the whole night long till our legs couldnt carry us anymore! When the night ended we had to literally crawl our way back to Damai and poor Ben who didn’t stay the night had to go up the slope and drive all the way back to Kuching! Lols. Luckily his car didn’t stall! And who could forget Mr Lion Head Alex from the Canadian trio?

Read Ben’s account of last year here.

Ben & Mr Lion Head

RWMF 2007

Sighs. There won’t be any memories for this one. Besides maybe freezing in Perth…

Ticket prices have increased(again). It was RM60 for a 1 day pass last year and it’s now RM80. A 3 day pass last year would have cost RM180 and this year it’s RM200.

Just because it’s the 10th year anniversary. The biggest one so far and proclaimed the bestest best of all, and I won’t be there!

Hrmph. Anyone of you going?

That First Real Job

Note: This is one of those posts which I’m typing for myself. So that donkey years later, I can look back and remember this day. 😀

After a series of unfortunate events, things seem to be getting better every second (at least for me).

I’ve just been offered a job – a real job.

No more part time jobs for me – no more jobs at restaurants/fast food chains or supermarkets.

This company i’m working for is the world’s largest face-to-face marketing company and is operating in over 20 countries worldwide.

I’m not gonna link their website cuz I don’t wanna risk somebody from the company ‘coming across’ my site (= In any case should I need to rant about my work in the future, I can safely do so here. Hehe! Company’s name will be typed backwards/abbreviated too.

Anyway, the father company:-

The company I’m working for in Perth:-

From now on I’ll refer to it as SGC

After excruciating interviews…

and hectic but fun evaluation day…

My boss finally called me and offered me the job!!

He’s a really nice guy, very easy going and jokes oh-so-very-often…and he talks like a bullet train. Seriously.

I’m ecstatic about it. Really. Having sooooo many people sent in their resumes, I was happy enough that mine got shortlisted. And then having soooo many people going for the interviews, I was even happier to have passed the initial interview! Boss passed me straight away. He said “I don’t do this often, but I’m going to invite you in for the evaluation day straight away.” And with the company running evaluation days for a few weeks, no one has been selected yet. But he actually called!

I’m oh so ecstatic.

Colleagues have been great so far. The company basically hires those around 25-30, and they’re loads of fun! Lots of Jamie Oliver look alikes. LOL.

But yeah. It’s going to be coats and formal wear for me from now on. Can’t imagine huh?

And oh did I tell you? I wore a Mickey Mouse shirt for the first interview? Paired with sports shoes?

Well. Things are going to change from now on.

Shopping spree tomorrow. Think G2000 clothes.

It’s amazing how time flies. A while ago we were all in uniforms, playing water guns in Form 5…

And now I feel so old. Ancient. Dino.

Anyhoo…thanks you guys for being there for me all this while with this new-job-craze. For the luck, for sharing the happiness and insanity…

I lub you all! 😛

To Ze Beach! Again.

Just got back from Damai Beach. This time with 4 very dear friends. It was more of a relaxing and chill out time, very different from what previous trips used to be – hilariously chaotic.

Perhaps we’re older now?

We had a miserable attempt at mini-golfing. The ground wasn’t even and thus the flower to stop the ball from rolling.

It poured heavily that afternoon too which resulted in us retiring to our room to play UNO and Cluedo.

Once the rain subsided, the beach called for us.

Dinner that night was at Buntal. A very hearty meal indeed. SEVEN dishes to be shared among FIVE people and the total damage was only a little over a hundred! And we had crabs, squid, prawns, oysters, chicken etc etc.

The only downside of the whole trip was my splitting migraine later that night. But thank goodness it didn’t stay for long. After a short nap i was restless and sleepless the whole night (plus it was freaking cooooold in the room!).

Went to the beach at 4am to feed the mosquitoes and sand flies 😀

It was dark I tell you. But the sounds of the waves was all I needed.

There’s no sunrise to go googoogaga about in Damai but it was still breathtaking to sit by the beach till the crack of dawn.

And at 7am…

Orangy skies (=

Being at the beach when no one else is feels godly. Staring into the wide sea with no boundaries made it feel like…you’ve got the world in your hands. And that no one else exists but you.

The cloud which looked oddly like a fist

Crab hole

Flooded stream

Message in a bottle

It was a trip worth remembering and reliving.

Like they say…

The waves may have washed the beach clean…

Even the footsteps you’ve left behind will be washed out…

The memories kept at heart will be cherised forever.

(L-R) Sherly, Christopher, Chang Mei, Bernie

To the 3 of you Singaporean Musketeers, good luck in Singapore and don’t become a kiasu okay? And to Bernie, all the best for UK (though you still have time and possibly more Damai trips before that).

Thanks for the fantastic company over the weekend!

Guys come and go in our lives. But there is one who stays in our heart long enough to call it forever. No matter how messed up you are, how broken your relationship is with your ‘the other man’, or how broke you are, there is always one guy you can turn to. Someone who will be there through all the ups and downs of your life.

If on Mother’s Day i posted Il Divo’s Mama, there will not be a better suited day than today to put up this video.

Celine Dion- Dance With My Father (originally by the late Luther Vandross)

Back when I was a child
Before life removed all the innocence
My father would lift me high
And dance with my mother and me and then

Spin me around till I fell asleep
Then up the stairs he would carry me
And I knew for sure
I was loved

If I could get another chance
Another walk, another dance with him
I’d play a song that would never, ever end
How I’d love, love, love to dance with my father again

Ooh, ooh

When I and my mother would disagree
To get my way I would run from her to him
He’d make me laugh just to comfort me, yeah, yeah
Then finally make me do just what my mama said

Later that night when I was asleep
He left a dollar under my sheet
Never dreamed that he
Would be gone from me

If I could steal one final glance
One final step, one final dance with him
I’d play a song that would never, ever end
‘Cause I’d love, love, love to dance with my father

Sometimes I’d listen outside her door
And I’d hear her, mama cryin’ for him
I pray for her even more than me
I pray for her even more than me

I know I’m prayin’ for much too much
But could You send back the only man she loved
I know You don’t do it usually
But Lord, she’s dyin’ to dance with my father again
Every night I fall asleep
And this is all I ever dream

Happy Father’s Day Daddy! (and to all dads around the world)
