Of UWA & Matilda Bay

This is another backdated post. So backdated that I can’t remember when it was. 2 months ago? Hrm..

Anyways. Most of you may have heard that the University of Western Australia(UWA) is a beautifullllllllllll place. And I must say it is. John took me around one morning and compared to Murdoch….*shakes head shamefully*

Murdoch is huge. The main campus is the largest campus in Australia. But hrm… it’s all bushes. trees. cow. sheeps. horses. rabbits. I’m serious.

Anyways. Pictures.

John: That also you want to take picture… -_-“

UWA’s graduating grounds…and the famous clock tower

Somebody can’t wait to be standing there with the square hat…the day which marks the end of your studying days…Hehe. Hate to break the news to you mate, you’ve got more than 3 years to go. Lol.

Signs of winter on a tree..

We grabbed a quick lunch of the famous Broadway kebabs and headed off to Matilda Bay.

Mmmm…

We had a doner kebab each. They have got lots of other Turkish goodies. John was raving about the baklava and he bought one to share.

Topped with chopped pistachios

Cross-section

If you’re wondering what it tastes like…it’s actually a phyllo dough (croissant-like) filled with chopped nuts, in this case chopped pistachios, and sweetened with syrup.

It’s sweet sweet sweet SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET to the max! Super sweet i tell you. One bite and i could feel the sugar rush. If you need to pull an all nighter, this would do it. Beats coke or coffee anytime.

Feeling so bloated after that, we crawled to the bay.

Everything blue

Being a famous spot for sighting dolphins, I was so disappointed that we didn’t get to see any that day. But the trip to Cottesloe made up for it!

That being said, I miss the weather back then.

Signs of spring has sprung, but it still gets awfully cold every now and then. I can’t wait to be back again!!
